Threshold Moments: The Quiet Power of Being In-Between

Have you ever found yourself standing in the space between what was and what’s not yet here?

Not a crisis. Not a breakthrough. Just that in-between moment—quiet, uncertain, often invisible to others—but deeply felt inside.

That’s what I call a threshold moment.

Recently in a private coaching session, a client shared something that stopped me in my tracks.
"I don’t want to go back to how things were… but I don’t know what I’m moving toward either."

That’s it. That’s the moment.
Not quite here, no longer there.

Threshold moments often come softly. They arrive during a career transition, after kids leave the house, when you’ve outgrown a version of yourself that once fit beautifully… but doesn’t anymore.

They can feel disorienting—especially for high-functioning, thoughtful women who are used to being capable, clear, and in control.

But here’s the truth I keep returning to, both in my own life and in my coaching work:

The in-between is sacred.

It’s not a space to rush through or fix. It’s a space to listen. To recalibrate. To ask better questions. To remember what you’ve been too busy to feel.

If you're in a threshold moment, you’re not alone.

I created Crossing the Threshold, my 10-week women’s circle, for this exact season. We don’t rush clarity. We create space for it to rise naturally—through reflection, community, creativity, and ritual.

Because transformation isn’t always about doing more.
Sometimes it’s about allowing the shift that’s already happening.

If this post resonates with you, I’d love to invite you to explore the upcoming fall circle. We begin September 17, and early applications are open now.

You can learn more here or reach out to me personally with any questions.

✨ With heart,
Andrea
